Have you ever considered why you are attracted to some people & not others? This has always fascinated me. We wanted to have a card for convenience but we did not wish to build up any debt with any of the credit-card businesses. That way we could not ever have to suss out how to get rid of credit card debt. We had both been raised with the lessons that if you want some-thing you wait until you have the money to purchase it. We weren't concerned about having a low-interest rate because we were in complete agreement that anything that was put on a card would be repaid off before finance charges would accrue. This is something that we have done a fantastic job of sticking to during the 20 5 years which we have been married. Throughout the years we have had varied cards. We now have a major credit card sponsored by a sports goods company that my husband buys from on a regular basis. We get points that covert in to bucks towards the purchase of things in that store. When he is looking to buy some-thing in specific we will place a good number of our monthly expenses on this card and then pay it off so that he gets the points toward his purchases. This is a great program that most of the big credit-card businesses have. It is a way of getting free commodities off of things that you have to purchase.
